      Don't stress over it. It doesn't give most people enough problems to warrant surgery. Just get your heart checked according to Dr. recommendation. Be sensible, exercise and don's smoke. That helps alot.

    I stopped taking my Metoprolol. Because of side effects were so bad it was ruining my ADLs. Since I stopped taking it I can breathe better I have no more chest pains or arm pains. I can sleep through the night now with no night terrors. I can go up and down steps right now. I can ride in a car without shaking and panic attacks. And I don't wake up with any headaches anymore. And my ears stop bleeding. I occasionally wake up with my ears bleeding. I take my husband's medicine now which is a lifesaver for me. After they diagnosed me with Afib they tried up my Metoprolol is what got me sick worst. The fact that I can sleep better now. Is a game changer.

    I’m 23, and found I have: trace pulmonic, trace mitral, and trivial tricuspid regurgitations. My cardiologist told me it’s not a cause for concern, and my heart is fine. And many people can have 1-3 regurgitations and not even know, and regurgitations are super common finding on echos. He told me he had worse ones on his own echo finding in 1999, and he’s still here today and doing fine! But I’m scared cause I get elevated heart rates at random intervals, chest pressure and sometimes chest aches, get hot flashes/sweaty, joint aches, see pulsing in neck, get tingly hands and feet sensation sometimes, light headed sometimes, out of breath sometimes. I cry sometimes because I’m young! I’m also underweight for my height(as been losing weight without trying this year), I’m 5’8 and 110 pounds and struggling to gain weight. All I want is all my physical discomfort that feels like they lurk daily for months without end to go away, be back at a normal weight again, and live a long and happy life! 😞🥲 I also get easy bruising, drowsy, loose hairs. Idk how accurate ekgs are and if it was false positive test. But a month ago one test claimed I had a missed anterior infarction! So I freaked out and started crying hard. I’m under constant stress and depression cause of me suddenly this year feeling so many physical never ending symptoms for what feels like months daily with no ends. I have no family history of heart problems! My parents both have palpitations though. I’m underweight for my height, I do tend to go to bed late a lot, don’t do too much physical activity, and cannot really control my diet(at my dads place). I cry on and off and stress constantly as all I want is: for all this to just go away! Be at a normal weight again, and live a long and happy life. I always get scared about: will I live long? Will I suddenly pass unexpectedly one day? Is this all forever?

    In 2019 I drove myself to the emergency room gasping for air, because my mitral valve regurgitation had filled my lungs with fluid and my ejection fraction was a deadly 14. They pumped a gallon of edema fluid from my body and lungs, and they still won't repair my two leaking heart valves, apparently because I don't suffer the symptoms enough. They don't have the courage to tell me yes, your heart valves are causing your symptoms but we are not going to help you, so they lie to me and tell me the symptoms are from sleep apnea or my kidney, because if they admitted they were caused by my heart valve they would have to fix or replace them. The cardiac industry is a fraud, they are chasing the money. They will perform scans and imaging and tests you don't need because they want the money. Not all of them of course, but when they have monetized you all they can they can put you out to pasture to die. I'm angry, posting this for you from the pasture.

    Can you take metoprolol succinate ER every 22 or 20 hours instead of every 24? I feel like I'm dying every single day as the clock reaches my time to dose, and it's not improving with time. Surely people metabolize this drug slightly differently, right? I have to take it early on a regular basis, and am afraid that may cause problems. Not due to any bad od experiences, but due to the average half-life of this drug.

      I’m the same. About 2-ish hours before my next 24-hour dose, my heart rate starts going back up higher than what it usually is when I’m on Metroprolol Succinate. I don’t think mine lasts the full 24 hours either.

    Well it might take 3 days to get a refill approved where we go and we are patients there and we go in often. Yes u can call in a refill most of the time we get enough till we go back but sometimes we have to send in and when that happens it takes atleast a couple days! It’s not a huge office but they def don’t have a nurse doing refills all day lol

    I just started taking 25mg of metoprolol once a day for hypertension 4 days ago. Im 28 and my heart itches every time i feel digestion now. Has anyone else felt actual sensations in your heart that you didnt before taking metoprolol? Does this go away?

    • @AbbadonOfTheKey
      @AbbadonOfTheKey 11 місяців тому

      I should update this! I was taking too much metoprolol! I went down from 18.75 mg to 12.5 mg and the pain went away! I only get it when I take my pill now. On 18.75mg, my heart rate was slowed to the point that it couldn't keep up with the oxygen demand of my body, and I was experiencing unstable angina chest pain. Very dangerous! Luckily I'm 28, but you might not be, so this is why it happened; I quit alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, kratom, and other supplements when I was prescribed metoprolol, and my lifestyle changes lowered my BP making me no longer fit to take that dose of metoprolol! If I would've kept taking that dose, I would've eventually been very hurt, if not killed. Be careful on this drug guys!

    • @AbbadonOfTheKey
      @AbbadonOfTheKey 11 місяців тому

      I should mention; i went down from 25mg to 18.75mg within the first 4 days of taking metoprolol succinate ER for aura migraines and stroke level BP. Once that was under control, it was clear 25mg was too much.

I CODED. 4/7/17Knew from echo of mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation August 2016 before knee replaced. You never know when it craps out. Heart murmurs since childhood. Ask plenty of questions once you know your condition. Pig valve installation was May 2017. Thank the almighty I was in a hospital and not driving a car.

      If you don't want to be on it tell him! It's your body! Unless you have a major reason to be on it. My Dr. just prescribed it for me (iFIB) and I have never had pains or health problems in 70 years! Haven't gotten the prescription yet and won't take it after researching it for myself! Dr. never explain anything about side effects!! I will not create a medical problem for myself that I didn't have originally. Diet can correct most anything. Common practice is to give them statins!

These are some of the most important doctors in the world and they want to let it get bad before they fix it.
